A Girl’s Best Friend

No everyone, this post is not about diamonds (plenty of time for that in the coming weeks). This post is about my fur-baby and best friend Coach. He is an 8 year old pug that came into my life when he was 6 months old. We have been through everything together (relationships, illness, death, moving) and I really couldn’t imagine life without him.

Growing up I never had a dog (only cats and a very short experience with one hamster) so I really had no idea how much work it really took to have a dog. But Coach and I found our way together, and managed to adapt and love eachother’s quirks and shortcomings.

Here is a list of Coach’s favourite things:
— Food
— Smelly toys (the stinkier the better)
— Playing ball in the backyard
— Water with ice cubes
— Ice cream
— Kissing

Oddly enough I enjoy all the same things Coach does – well minus the stinky toys – oh and playing ball.

Coach and I also support an amazing organization together called Pugalug Pug Rescue. The organization works to rehabilitate and re-home pugs that have been surrendered by their owners. The organization is Canadian based and works tirelessly to bridge the gap between each dog’s past life and its future forever home. 333 pugs have been rescued since October 2005 but the need for financial aid continues every day. Please visit their website to find ways you can help out!
